Mini hikes to the stream, paints on the pebbles, and takes it home

About Jingshan: Be with the things you like

This is a nature tour designed for people who love beautiful scenery and painting, no matter how much experience you have in art.

On a sunny afternoon, Jingshan, I and two tourists came to a stream in the Cangshan Valley. We followed the clear and gurgling stream upstream, passed the pebble beach, small dam, reed marsh, explored the waterfall, and took a rest in the shade of the trees.

When Jingshan was picking up pebbles by the stream, she was amazed at how beautiful these stones were. These stones were polished by the flowing water to be smooth and delicate, with unique and vivid colors and patterns, which are very suitable for painting. She graduated with a degree in fine arts and now spends most of her time making ceramics and painting her own patterns on them.

This reminds me of Huahua. When she first came to Dali, her main source of income was painting on the stones she picked up during her travels, and then selling these hand-painted stones on Renmin Road to people who appreciated her work. Although she had just started painting, her unique style unexpectedly became popular, allowing her to support herself and settle in Dali. Later, there were more and more street vendors, and she didn't want to compete for a spot, so she started working at the night market, and she has been a part of our lives ever since.

The stones are in the streams, the streams are in the valleys, and for those who love nature and painting, walking through the villages and fields, stepping into the mountains, crossing the streams, collecting stones, sitting by the water in the sun or under the shade of trees and painting can be the perfect way to spend a quiet afternoon.

Yan Zi and Xiao Jing like to pick mushrooms, wild fruits, vegetables and pine cones, and often go into the mountains in different seasons. Jing Shan loves nature, ceramics and painting, and if she can take people into the mountains to paint, it may be an ideal activity for her and other like-minded travelers.

There is something beautiful about doing something you love and making it part of your job (if not all of it). This is what our friend is doing. I believe that when you truly enjoy and put your heart and soul into something, it will naturally inspire others.

Things travelers need to bring: Just a small bottle of water. Wear sneakers, water shoes, or sandals - any kind will work.

notes: The painting experience is about your own spontaneous feelings, free imagination and creativity. The guide will provide some suggestions, but this is not a teaching course or skill training - this is not the purpose of this activity.
