Recent activity (to keep up with the latest season):

Go deeper into the forests of Kuala Ban and the spring evenings and mornings in the west slopes.”

|This is an expansion of the Xipogualaban map area.

We will go to the small terraces in the valley and the original forests at higher places which we don't usually go to.

In the afternoon, take a walk to the relatively open middle stream valley of Liziping.

Take a walk in the still-wet, shaded valley.

I returned to Ayan's home in the evening.

Sitting in the courtyard, watching the sun set behind Lianping Mountain.

In the golden winter sunset, we warmed ourselves around the fire pit in the kitchen after dinner.

Afterwards, we rested for a night on the simple and clean second floor of Ayan's house.

The next day we set out to the Rhododendron Tree King at an altitude of 3,000 meters.

It is a road that is less traveled and is hidden in the middle of Lianpingliang.

Walking in the forest all day at this season.

This is also an unusual experience for the team leader.

Go down the mountain in the evening and return after dinner.|

Note: Recently, it is the season when the Rhododendron serrata is in full bloom. Go to the deeper Rhododendron serrata forest for a walk.

It will be two unforgettable days.

Azalea serrata blooming alone in Dazhuping

For consultation, please add my WeChat:

"On the Lianping ridge between Jinzhan Village and Gualaban, there is a Rhododendron tatarinowii, which is called the king of rhododendron trees by local villagers.

On a hillside not far from Dazhuping,

A few days ago, I took my guests to the valley in the upper reaches of the Shangyi River, where we always go in the summer, and while we were having tea, we found moist green moss lying in the shadows of the rocks.

In the flatter and sunnier Dazhuping and Ayan's house, the moss had already dried and turned yellow and crispy, curling around the stones and equally dry tree bark.

The sun was still high in the sky when I took the guests down the mountain and returned to Ayan's home.  The flat and open courtyard of Ayan’s home is filled with the warm golden winter sun.”

"A few years ago, Xiaoqi, Huizhen, Xiaoqi and I went to Kuala Ban and spent a night there.

The next morning, Ayan and her grandmother went up the mountain with us and found the king azalea tree not far from Dazhuping.

At noon, we ate the bitter buckwheat cakes, bacon and eggs prepared by Sister Yan under a tree, and then continued to walk up the mountain, through Lianpingliang to the narrow valley in the middle that few people often pass through, where we rested while looking at the flat bamboo terrace in the valley from afar.

We then walked down the forest path, the sun shining in from the dense forest above us. We passed the abandoned charcoal pit where the villagers used to burn charcoal, the big nettle slope where Haoran and I picked red deer mushrooms during the rainy season, the big tree hole where Aruna took photos before, and walked all the way down to the meadow where we camped in the summer. When we returned to Ayan's home, the sun was about to set behind Lianpingliang.

Two days of leisure in Kuala Pan, just like a normal weekend

Return to relatives' home in the mountains to escape from daily reality
