A few days ago, I went to a farm run by a friend in Dali for five years and picked some seasonal vegetables: I blanched the pea tips I picked myself in the cabbage meatball soup, and made a broad bean and ham stewed rice. It was simple but you could taste the simple taste of the food itself. Suddenly I felt that such a simple wish from land to table is not easy to achieve nowadays. It happened that I also like to make some home-cooked dishes to invite friends on weekdays, so I came up with the idea of doing such an experience.
In the afternoon, we picked vegetables grown naturally without pesticides at a friend's farm. In between picking, we enjoyed some refreshments in the nearby fields and under the distant Cangshan Mountain. On the way home, we would stop by the local Guanyintang Vegetable Market to buy some additional fresh ingredients and prepare dinner together when we got home. After dinner, we would have a cup of tea and chat together if we wanted.
The fee includes a farm tea break, 1 catties of farm vegetables per person, other ingredients purchased at the market, a random home-cooked dinner, tea, coffee, snacks and fruits.

Honghong is the earliest guide of Cangshan Hiking Home. Besides leading hiking groups, she also makes various cold meals in Dali. Here is an introduction to her cold meal service , as well as the strange chance that led her to start making cold meals .
She is very interested in the organic vegetables and ingredients on the farm. She simply likes and is very passionate about these things. I think this is very important. She enjoys the process and does not have a "serious religious" concept. Cooking at home is fun and she loves food.
We used to lead hikes in the ancient city of Nanzhao, and we would go home and cook for our guests. I always cooked the same few dishes, but she tried to cook different dishes every time. I said, "Every time the guests are different, Why do you keep changing and researching?" Honghong said, "I like to eat, and I can't cook too much by myself. When there are guests, I can take the opportunity to try several dishes."
Honghong has always wanted to practice this kind of Farm2Table experience, and this is the perfect time. She is a person who is full of enthusiasm for life, friendly, and loves to learn. You can also communicate with her about life in Dali, Crossfit practice, swimming (she also teaches swimming ), and traveling. I believe both sides will gain something.
Her home is also a part of her livelihood, and can be transformed into a popular Airbnb homestay at any time. When you go to her house for dinner, it is at the foot of Cangshan Mountain. From the rooftop terrace, you can see a large area of Erhai Lake. The house is filled with all kinds of furniture and supplies that she has collected and liked, and it is full of the atmosphere of life.
If you get to know her, you will know what this experience of picking and cooking together is like. Welcome to Honghong's world~
