It was my first time driving on such a winding mountain road, so I couldn't help feeling a little nervous. When Fengyu Bazi appeared before us like a painting, I crossed Cangshan Mountain and overcame my fear of winding mountain roads.
It was mid-September and the rice was about to mature. The van passed through the yellow and green fields, past the sheep, past the bare tobacco stalks after picking, and past the ladies who were busy harvesting corn.
Entering this place in this way gives you the illusion of arriving in a paradise, but calling it a paradise is not an exaggeration. On the way back, we all shared the same feeling: the beautiful rural scenery, hundreds of well-preserved Bai ethnic minority dwellings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the ancient temple complexes in the forest are amazing.
On the pasture meadow halfway up the mountain, a passing cowherd pointed to the tallest tree in the distant forest and told us that there was a path leading to a mountain temple. This was the biggest gain of our trip. It was an ancient temple complex located in the forest. All the temple doors were closed, and through the narrow door gaps we could glimpse the Buddha statues with lowered brows and smiles. There was a kind of forgotten humility here, a little deserted, but very special.

I accidentally found an ancient Buddhist pillar on a small path in the forest.
Xiaoqi kept praising the couplets and inscriptions here, saying they were concise but profound. They are hidden in every corner, so when you come here, you can also look for them and try to appreciate them.
This is a route we discovered by chance, which gave us the opportunity to leave Cangshan Mountain and visit this "paradise" consisting of fields, forests and ancient temples.

Activities are for two people
Light hiking is of low intensity and is open to all adults and children over 4 years old.
Departure time: 10:00 AM. Drive approximately 2 hours to reach Fengyu Town. Enjoy a simple meal with your tour leader in the town. Your tour leader will provide refreshments and fruit during the hike.
Return time: 8:00 pm
In the evening, have dinner at a local restaurant in town (40 per person, AA). Then return.
