Course Description: The source of sound is the human heart. Likes and dislikes are generated by external stimuli. According to the "Book of Rites·Book of Music", individuals and the environment constantly interact and influence each other, and our physical and mental structures change with the perception of environmental information.

Understand the intention, the core of music. The charm of music lies in its transition from stillness to movement, conveying the information exchanged between the performer and the surrounding environment. This transition follows its own rules to create harmony. When we perceive this relatively true information, we will be closer to this truth.

Similarly, the coordination between the performer's body and mind and the instrument directly affects the authenticity of the information conveyed. A chaotic and disordered system cannot function properly. In the fierce competition, subtle differences are revealed, and the harmonious regulation of the music itself reflects the regularity of the body and mind. We also believe that traditional music incorporates highly compatible ways of conveying information through instruments, making the underlying information more orderly.

Making a bamboo flute by yourself under the guidance of Teacher Tianya can help you feel the inherent charm of the traditional instrument and make the process more meaningful.

Inclusions: A bamboo flute, which participants can take home to practice after completion.

Flute: Closely related to Chinese culture

Throughout China's long history, flutes and Xiaos have always played an important role, from court music and military parades to literati singing and folk tunes.

flute:

The flute is an ancient Han musical instrument. It is the most representative and distinctive wind instrument among the Han musical instruments and one of the commonly used horizontal woodwind instruments in traditional Chinese music.

resemble:

There are two types of Xiao: open-hole Xiao and closed-hole Xiao. Xiao is a very ancient vertical wind instrument of the Han nationality.

The flute is usually made of bamboo, with the blowing hole at the top. According to the number of "sound holes", the flute can be divided into six-hole flute and eight-hole flute. The six-hole flute has five front holes and one back hole, while the eight-hole flute has seven front holes and one back hole. The eight-hole flute is a modern improvement.

In ancient times, the emperors used musical scales to communicate with the heavens, and the sounds were regarded as heavenly music. The seven harmonic tones, musical scales, and constellations, plus the twenty-eight constellations, make a total of fifty, which is the reason for the number fifty.
