"My name is Xiao Li, and I'm from Eryuan, Dali. I love the mountains and waters of my hometown. Sometimes I go kayaking or paddleboarding to explore rivers and lakes, and sometimes I ride an ATV up the mountains. I also like to explore the outside world. I've been a surfing instructor for a while, and my new plan is to go sailing. I'm learning from a captain now.
Every Tuesday, I take guests to the traditional market in Fengyu. During the plum blossom season, I hike in the plum forest. During the plum season, I make green plum wine. I hope to have the opportunity to share these little things in my daily life with you. ”
How about our paddle boarding/kayaking activities?
It's a journey into nature, exploring rivers and lakes. It can be youthful and adventurous - jumping into the water, falling into the water, overcoming fear and embracing the water. It can also be relaxing - lying on the board, gazing at the blue sky, drifting with the waves. Even paddling technique doesn't matter. As long as you paddle comfortably, smoothly and enjoy being in nature, that's what matters. Once you fall in love with this freedom, you will naturally want to learn and improve.
Leaving downtown Dali, we headed to the Jinsha River. Even in winter, the scenery here is full of agaves, cacti, and villagers wearing short sleeves and flip-flops, giving it a summer feel. The average temperature throughout the year is around 20°C, and the dry, hot valley climate rarely rains. Winter is actually my favorite season in the Jinsha River, because there is no need to worry about cold weather - you can enjoy water activities all year round in different locations.
The river is clear and unreal
No experience is needed to enjoy the charm of paddle boarding and the natural landscape. After learning the basics of paddle boarding, we will explore the upper reaches of the river.
Sandy Sediments : Layered sediments look like temples suspended in the air.
Swallows' Nests : The rocky cliffs are where swallows build their nests.
Agave Plant : Agave flowers only once in its lifetime.
Campsite : We will camp by the river and have lunch and afternoon tea.
Fruit Picking : We will visit an orchard and pick fresh oranges to enjoy while boating.
Even in winter, you can enjoy water activities!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
I have no experience. Can I participate? Will I fall into the water? Yes, you can! Most guests have no previous experience. Paddleboarding is great for beginners - you can enjoy paddling while kneeling or sitting. The only time you risk falling off is when you try to stand up.
What if my friend doesn't want to try paddleboarding? No problem! We can bring inflatable kayaks (light, safe, won't capsize). Please let me know in advance.
What should I bring? A set of dry clothes, a towel and flip-flops are sufficient. Swimming suits are optional for those who wish to swim.
Is it safe? Yes. Everyone wears a life jacket and you can follow the guide to ensure that help is always available.
Can children participate? Yes! Children 12 years and older can paddle on their own (with parental supervision), and younger children can share a board with a parent.
