"Aruna is from Horqin Right Middle Banner, Inner Mongolia. She rides a motorcycle, runs a roadside coffee stand, and bakes in her own restaurant. She is a free-spirited, kind, passionate, innocent, and independent girl. When you see her working, she is full of energy and focus, and has a strong influence on others. Guests call her "Aruna, the one who can do it all." She drives a white camper van. Main activities: making and baking bagels, camping, river hiking, and easy hiking in Cangshan, Eryuan Village, and Huoshan. She speaks Mongolian and English."
“Everyone knows Shangri-La, but it seems that few people can actually enter Shangri-La. The car takes you to a completely newly built town. Apart from the scenic spots and temples, you are there, but there is no way to reach Shangri-La.
The soul of Tibet is in the grassland, and the beauty of the grassland does not lie in passing through. If you enter the grassland, spend the golden evening there, the starry sky at night, the mist and sunrise in the morning, see the horses roaming or galloping freely, and the cattle and sheep strolling, it will be a wonderful trip. This is also our own experience that we want to share with you during this camping trip.
Guests often ask what they can do when camping. Dongdong said at the campsite that day, "People should always stay in nature and do nothing." The tent is our little house. We put up a canopy and it is our shelter whether it is raining or sunny. We collect firewood, make a fire and cook around the stove. When we look up, we can see the sky full of stars. When we open the tent in the morning, we can see the river and the mountains. This should be the first time camping, experiencing a primitive life in nature.
Watching yaks crossing the river at the riverside camp
At dusk, the camp was filled with smoke.
Camping site for rainy days.
The next day, have lunch at a Tibetan family's home and sample salty butter tea and homemade yogurt.
Some notes from June:
Yaks on the pasture.
Our itinerary will be:
14:30 Gather at Zayaa and depart
Arrive at the campsite around 18:30 and set up camp and cook dinner together
Around 19:50, watch the sunset and take a walk on the meadow (except on rainy days)
the next day
8:30am Ready to eat breakfast
At 10:00, we started to pack up and drive to the rhododendron bush near the pasture for a walk.
Arrive at the Tibetan family's home in Xiaozhongdian around 13:00 and have lunch together
Return around 15:30 (Guests can choose to stay in Shangri-La at the same cost)
Around 19:30-20:00, return to the vicinity of Dali Ancient Town (sent back nearby)
Note:
1: We will prepare the equipment/dinner/breakfast needed for camping, and you will pay for lunch at the Tibetan family home on the second day.
Guests are advised to bring some toiletries/thick coats/thick socks. If you are traveling with children, it is recommended to bring two more sets of spare clothes to keep dry. It is important to stay dry outdoors. The ultraviolet rays in Shangri-La are relatively strong, so please do a good job of sun protection.
2: There are many factors that affect outdoor camping. If the tour leader determines that there is no problem, the activity will proceed as usual. If camping is impossible due to natural reasons (except for light rain), the trip will be cancelled and the full amount will be refunded.
