Once, I walked down the mountain from Zhonghe Temple to Taoxi. When I reached the foot of the mountain, I passed a tea garden with winter cherry blossoms in full bloom. A scene like a paradise appeared in front of me: in the valley, cherry trees lined the mountain road on both sides, and on the right was a large meadow. There was a house in the middle of the meadow. There was a gurgling stream in front of the house. There were tables and chairs under a tree by the stream. I couldn't help but push open the wooden door and go in. I asked and found out that it was Mocui Tea House. This may be the most beautiful tea garden and tea house I have ever seen.

Jian Hui ran a tea garden in Dali for fifteen years and finally took root after going through many hardships.

This is not just a tea-making experience, but also a journey into the wonderful valley.

Pu'er tea cake making is a year-round tea-making experience (from April to November it is a tea garden picking and processing experience).

The process includes:

  1. Choosing raw tea: Remove yellow leaves and thick stems from the raw tea.
  2. Weighing: Makes 200g or 357g tea cakes.
  3. Steaming: Place the weighed tea leaves into a container and steam until soft.
  4. Wrap into cakes: Wrap the softened tea leaves with cloth and shape them.
  5. Pressing: Use a stone mill to press the tea leaves into round cakes.
  6. Packaging: Draw or write on tissue paper to decorate special packaging.

Duration: 1-1.5 hours You can take away 200g of tea cake you made yourself (included in the price)

Well-made Pu'er tea can be stored for many years in a ventilated and dry environment, and different flavors will develop over time.

Recent records:

After exploring the charm of Dali, if you want to deeply embrace nature, come to the Cangshan Tea Garden in Mocui Tea House to experience it.

The garden is located in the Cangshan Peach Blossom Valley Scenic Area. It has an ecological tea garden of about 100 acres and the tea trees are about 70 years old.

It is located at an altitude of about 2,200 meters, with snow water from Cangshan Mountain flowing all year round. It has a unique growing environment and does not use pesticides or chemical fertilizers. It is a purely ecological tea.

From here you can overlook the entire Dali Ancient City and Erhai Lake. In spring, peach blossoms, pear blossoms, cherry blossoms, hawthorns and other flowers are in full bloom, which is beautiful. In summer, the streams are gurgling. We pick tea in such a beautiful scenery, feel the mountain breeze, drink spring water, and taste the Cangshan tea brewed by ourselves. Life should be so leisurely.

The stream flows in front of our tea house

The most representative tea in Yunnan is Pu'er tea, which is brewed from large-leaf tea trees unique to Yunnan. The tea has a mellow and long-lasting aroma, which becomes more fragrant as it ages, making it very suitable for appreciation and collection.

Faced with Pu'er tea cakes on the market that cost tens of thousands to dozens of yuan, how to choose good quality tea is a problem. In addition to the taste, it is crucial to ensure the pure quality of the tea from the source.

We have always insisted on pesticide-free cultivation and artificial maintenance in the tea garden of Cangshan. In the Cangshan Forest Park at an altitude of more than 2,200 meters, such a unique ecological environment makes the tea we produce clean and pure.

We only make tea in the best season of spring to ensure the rich inner quality of the tea leaves and also to give the tea garden more rest and maintenance.

Come to Mo Cui Tea House to experience the making of Pu'er tea cakes, from drying raw tea to making tea cakes, and learn about the raw materials of tea and the entire production process.

In addition to tea art enthusiasts, children can also participate and make special packaging as a unique gift to take home.

Activity process overview:

1. Select raw tea: remove yellow leaves and thick stems from the raw tea.
