"Wa-style barbecue" family barbecue restaurant in the village

There are probably the most restaurants like "Wa-style barbecue" in Dali. After dinner time, the restaurants you can find are family barbecue restaurants like this. The area around Dali Ancient Town is generally rural. So these barbecue restaurants are different from the tourist slate barbecue restaurants in the ancient town. They are scattered in every village, and usually everyone from the chef to the waiter is a family member.

I chose "Wa-style BBQ" because I lived in Guanyintang for 6 years, and for two of those years I lived in the alley where this restaurant is located. The location is about 10 meters from the main street. My friend came here for supper, so I followed him. There are many types of barbecue, the ingredients are carefully prepared and fresh, and the taste is good, especially the fried rice noodles, which are very fragrant (later I found that most barbecue restaurants are good at it). The owner is friendly, and there is a family atmosphere among the people in the store, which feels good.

Unlike most newly opened barbecue restaurants with bright and tiled floors, the front door is a bit shabby and narrow, and the dining area is more spacious with low tables and chairs.

Most of the customers who come to the store are people who live nearby. They come here to eat something and chat.

So if you want to experience an old-school barbecue restaurant with a very local flavor and the main nightlife of the village, you can try this barbecue restaurant. It will be quite rewarding.

It doesn't have to be Wa-style barbecue, it's just one of them, the same yet a little different.
