Hong Hong | Three restaurants I’ve opened in Dali

On the high-speed train to Yangshuo, I was watching the teaching video of my new part-time job while remotely communicating with the person who had taken over the stone handover and transfer of the Xiaoyuanzi South District store. I felt a lot of emotions in my heart.

The three stores I opened in Dali in the past ten years are the most important part of my personal growth. I went from being a newbie who couldn’t cook, had never opened a store and had no confidence, to developing all the dishes in the store, designing the menu, serving cold dishes, delivering takeout, and training employees. I have become a more independent and confident person. I really like the changes in myself over the past ten years.

However, in the past two years, the focus of my work and life has slowly shifted from restaurants to leading hiking groups. I feel that this is what I want to do more, so I reluctantly transferred the last store to Shi Tou, who used to work in the store. I believe he will run it more attentively than I do, and I hope everyone will continue to support it.

I will continue to take on cold meal business in my own name, and I also hope to have the opportunity to set up a stall in the market to sell fish and chips and meet old friends.
