----------------------------------------

Qingsuo Village is located in Shangguan Town on the north bank of Erhai Lake in Dali City. According to legend, in 225 AD, Zhuge Liang led his army to the south in three groups. Because the Miju River blocked the way, he ordered the soldiers of the three armies to gather green cattails and twisted cattails as ropes, and the army successfully crossed the river. The village was named Qingsuo Village and the bridge was named Qingsuo Bridge. In the 23rd year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty, the Qingsuo Bridge was removed and a magnificent three-hole stone arch bridge was built on the original site and renamed Tianqu Bridge.

One day, when I visited Qingsuo Village by myself, I ran into a guest who had participated in Brother Ding's rural cycling . I couldn't forget it, so I returned the next day and had a picnic on the bridge. A few meters away, the Yong'an River runs parallel. So this place is not only special during the river lantern festival, but also a good trip to visit here at other times. The Miju River and the Yong'an River run parallel to each other ten meters apart in this ancient village.

The 15th day of the seventh lunar month every year is the most grand festival in Qingsuo Village, Shangguan Town - the River Lantern Festival. On this day, the Bai villagers nearby will gather around Tianqu Bridge, where they will hang colorful sacrificial items, and the elderly will chant scriptures, burn incense, pray for good weather, good harvests, and remember their ancestors and pray for the salvation of the dead.

At dusk, pairs of young boys and girls, full of piety, go to the local temple to worship and make a wish. They go to the river to light up the beautifully made river lanterns one by one and put them into the Miju River, letting them float downstream.
