A past event
Ten years ago, around 2014, I was sitting at the cashier at Dolphin Ade Bookstore. A few minutes earlier, as I was walking down Renmin Road, Ade stopped me and asked me to help watch the store while he ran something urgent.
Soon, a group of people came in and browsed around the bookstore. One of them, a girl, walked toward the cashier and said, "You look a lot like an old friend of mine named Jason." I was surprised and said, "I'm Jason," but I didn't recognize her at the time. She was Sun Yu. She was also in Dali at the time, working at the Chaimiduo Farm.
We first met at a tourist attraction in Shaoxing around 2005. We added each other on MSN and stayed in touch until MSN disappeared, and we lost touch. I never expected to run into each other again in Dali ten years later.
Sun Yu has been running a floral studio called "Hua Xu" for many years. In between, she married and had children in Dali and Peiyuan. She also rents out three properties as B&Bs.
Today, a guest, Hailan, came to stay at her apartment in the southern part of Xiaoyuanzi for a short period. I happened to be talking to her about our reunion, and I wanted to record this coincidence that I have always felt.
