Invite You and Feibi to come play in the van.

You and Feibi didn't know each other, but they both appeared frequently in my diary. Perhaps because of this, they began to be curious about each other and looked forward to meeting each other.

You and I bought a cake and also brought the cartoon candles that Sister Feibi gave me last time.
We drove to the field behind our house and unfolded the folding tatami, which was just big enough for the three of us to sit down. Before that, we had dinner together in the village, and Feibi sister treated us because she said she had money recently.

You and I took out the cakes we bought and asked Feibi to choose which one to eat first. You bought tiramisu and raw milk, and I bought pudding and a cake that looked like sugar cubes and was wrapped in coconut shreds. Feibi looked at each cake carefully, but she still couldn't choose one after hesitating. I couldn't help but choose the coconut shredded cake I bought for her, because I wanted to eat this the most. Then a pudding was placed in front of each person, and a candle that looked like a little bear was lit (Phibi explained its origin, but I can't remember it clearly).

We chatted. Feibi talked about a teacher she met when she was an exchange student in Japan. When she graduated, the teacher gave her some money to eat delicious food.
"I was young at that time and didn't know how to spend money. I used the money to buy expensive tea and gave it to the teacher as a gift. Now I regret it and I should have eaten it to please the teacher. At that time, I was reluctant to go to the concert and thought that if I bought CDs to listen to, I would save a lot and could listen to them all the time. But it's actually different."
“Your teacher is so nice”
"Yes, I think he is the best human being I have ever met."
"Are you still in touch now?"
"I wrote to him before. But when I was studying in France, my father passed away suddenly. I felt that there were too many things to do at that time, and it would take too long to write, so we didn't keep in touch afterwards."
"Actually, it's quite convenient if you write an email. If you don't write, maybe your teacher won't be around next time. How old is he?"
"At that time, I was in my 20s and he was in his 40s or 50s. Now I am in my 40s and he is almost 70?"

The invisible and powerful time, although it belongs to Sister Feibi’s timeline, seems to have affected me as well. I think if I were Sister Feibi, I would have to write an email as soon as I got home at night.

You has been listening to my small talk with Feibi, occasionally saying something. We have been sitting in this small space for 3 hours, and the fat bear candle has burned to the neck. I have confidence that they will like each other.

I got up and it was drizzling outside. It would be great if I was lying in the car at this moment. I thought so. So I started to pack my luggage. Sleeping bag, egg nest mat, pots and pans, milk, and two not-so-good power banks.

While I was packing, Yan Zi brought me the bracken she had picked up yesterday on the west slope. I thought, I was going out, so I couldn't continue soaking it, so I gave it to Xiao Yang. I pushed the door of Xiao Yang's house, and Lao Li was there. When he saw me, he said, "Xiao Jing, come to my house for dinner tonight. We're killing a chicken today."

Before he said the word "chicken", I quickly thought that he was going to say kill a large animal like a "sheep" or "pig". When I heard that it was killing a "chicken", I thought it was funny.

"Your family killed a chicken and called so many people," the lamb lying next to him teased him.

"You're not going, so don't worry about it."

Lao Li's home is in Eryuan County, 40 kilometers away, so I thought we could go camping there.

Lao Li will take Aruna, and I will pick up Yang Mi. Xiao Qi brought a guest to travel to Eryuan Village today, and they should have dinner together at Lao Li's house.

We gathered at the milk fan shop. Lao Li and Aruna arrived first and sat at the door eating popsicles.

"I want this," I said, pointing at the fluffy breast cake that my sister was making.
"I want this too." Yang Mi followed in and pointed like me.
"Treat it like your own home?" Old Li laughed at me and Yang Mi.
Hehe, when I see my sister busy at work with a smile on her face, I feel at ease.
I also ordered a piece of milk cake, thinking that I would use it for cooking in the car tomorrow, but Yang Mi rushed to pay for it because she said she would buy me food at the milk fan store when we were in the car. I just wanted her to buy some yogurt or something, because the milk cake was too expensive and she should pay for it herself.

Then, we set off to the vegetable market. Lao Li said that he definitely didn't have any vegetables except chicken at home. So he asked us to go to the vegetable market to buy vegetables, and then each of us was responsible for making a dish.
Aruna is preparing to make stir-fried wild rice stem and pork.
Yang Mi eats bland food, and Lao Li looks down on the food she cooks and says, "When we were working together, I wouldn't eat the food she cooked even if she asked me to."
"Xiao Jing, cook two dishes, and they must include meat," he ordered.

You think too highly of me.

"I don't cook, I buy roast duck," he added.

Yang Mi and I visited Lao Li's home when he moved to his new home.
When we entered the house, no adults were home. The four of us went into the kitchen and started messing around, like a kid secretly calling a friend home to cook.

Then the killed chicken has been stewed and placed on the stove.

"I'll take you to my hometown to play," Lao Li said after he had prepared the food. Then he carried two plates of sliced watermelon and walked about 500 meters.

"It's this house," Lao Li pointed to a very tall brick house. When I said very tall, I meant that it looked like an ancestral hall from the outside.

After entering the house, Lao Li's wife (his grandmother's mother) was working. His wife was wearing Bai ethnic costumes, and her earrings were a combination of gold inlaid pendants and jade, which were very beautiful. There were four yellow cows in the cowshed in the yard. Lao Li said that they were used for eating, not milking. There was an apple tree that was blooming. A plum tree grafted with a persimmon tree had produced many small green fruits. There was also a seedling of unknown origin covered with a basket in the middle of the yard for protection.

My wife came into the house, and I guessed she was going to bring out some delicious food.

"She has a lot of delicious food," said Lao Li.

After leaving my hometown, Lao Li drove us around the neighborhood, trying to find a campsite for me for the night.

“There used to be a lot of reed marshes here, and it was much more beautiful,” said Lao Li as he passed a small lake that was being built near his home.

Finally, I chose the ancient forest I had visited before as my campsite. There were fields on the left and a stream on the right, surrounded by dense trees.

After choosing the campsite, we went home to cook. Lao Li was in charge of washing and cutting vegetables. When the last rays of sunset shone on the field outside the kitchen window, Xiaoqi brought the guests in. Xiaoqi helped Aruna stir-fry wild rice stems and pork. Xiaoqi, who always said she couldn't cook, was very skillful and could even lift the pot. When it was my turn, I was in a panic and didn't know whether to put the meat or the beans first.

After dinner, Lao Li suggested we go to the hot springs. I know the hot springs he was talking about. They are single rooms surrounded by iron sheds. They cost 15 yuan per person. A few years ago, he took Jason and me there when he first joined Cangshan Hiking Home. At that time, I thought to myself, Lao Li is nice and simple.

Yang Mi Lao and Li Xiaoqi squatting outside the hot spring room.

There is a strong desire in my mind to record this day. I can't explain the specific reason, but I guess it has something to do with "time". Maybe looking back on today from a long time in the future, it will be precious.
