"This is an easy mini hike that is about 2 kilometers long and about 100 meters above sea level. It is suitable for all ages, from young children to the elderly. During the activity, we will walk through the fields at the foot of Cangshan Mountain and climb a hill, stopping along the way to observe the rich and diverse flora and fauna in the area and learn their interesting stories. This route has a wide view and you can get a close view of Cangshan Mountain, while also enjoying a panoramic view of Erhai Lake and nearby villages."

Phoebe | Shining Days

Distance : 2.5 km
Time : 14:30 – 18:00 (starting time varies according to season)

There are many kinds of plants along the way, including winter cherry, walnut, Yunnan poplar, palm, acacia, white buttercup, nettle, ramie, purple stem polygonum, mugwort, rhododendron, sage, tea tree, nine-section grass, etc., as well as various seasonal vegetables in the fields.

I will explain the stories behind these plants as we walk. Each plant has its own history, origin and use. Some are native plants, and some are introduced. This pleasant and easy hike will give you a good understanding of the plant life and ecology on the slopes of Cangshan Mountain.

During the insect active season, we will also catch and closely observe the insects that the children are interested in along the way.

If you would like more information about this event, please feel free to contact me.

In addition, I also have a nature observation group WeChat group, which is specially prepared for enthusiasts. After the event, you can continue to learn and see what plants, insects, and birds people around the world observe in different seasons. There are also experts and picture book authors in the group. We exchange knowledge and grow together.
